The No-Smoke Budtender

Herb is the healing of a nation, alcohol is the destruction.” – Bob Marley

So, let’s compare.

Healing effects of alcohol include:

Cardiovascular Health – specifically, red wine because of the presence of antioxidants. Ok, red wine is light work, so yes.

Social Interaction – alcohol helps people relax, until it doesn’t. Then it’s bar fights, verbal altercations, and road rage incidents!

Digestive Health – can increase the production of stomach acids. Yeah, I think we can all relate to that. We get that “ewww” feeling in our guts, and shortly after… BLAHHH, BARFF!!

Healing effects of cannabis include:

Pain relief – cannabinoids have been scientifically proven to relieve chronic pain. Medicinal marijuana, anyone?

Mental Health – endocannabinoid compounds in cannabis can stabilize moods. I know a few people who can attest to this. A couple of tokes, and immediate mood shift!

Diabetes Management – cannabis has been linked to stabilizing blood sugar, lowering blood pressure, and improving blood circulation. Well, we all know weed can give us the munchies, but even so, the medicinal benefit is that it can also keep our blood sugar steady!

So, it definitely seems our Ganja King, Mr. Marley, is 100% correct, “Herb is the healing of a nation, …” And couldn’t we all use a bit of healing?
